Brighton, Brookline and Newton, are three adjacent housing markets with easy access via trains and buses to downtown Boston as well as convenient auto access the Massachusetts Turnpike and the Expressways north and south. Brighton is within the City Limits of Boston and abuts Brookline and Newton to the west. Brookline is a separate town with a population of approximately 57,000 people, (it is second largest town in the state) and Newton is a city of approximately 84,000 people.
All three of these markets are served by a variety of transportation modes, including buses, light rail (trolleys) and commuter rail(Newton only), as well as providing easy access to the Massachusetts Turnpike and expressways north and south.
These markets are rich in older single family homes with their wealth of detailing as well as condominiums(many are conversions from earlier uses as apartment houses and multi family homes) and multi family residences of a bygone era. Most of this inventory usually contains many upgrades often in kitchens, baths and systems. There has been a flurry of newer construction and conversion in recent years, making the Brighton, Brookline and Newton markets among the most varied, unique and interesting.
